Travel is more fun in a Squad

I love travelling! Many who know me know this about me. I know there are many like me. I have come to discover that   Travel is either enjoyed solo or as part of a group. I tend to belong to the second group. I enjoy sharing travel experiences (sometimes just to have someone confirm what i have just seen!)  So with my travel is best enjoyed with at least one other person and the more the merrier. There will be those that will prefer travelling solo, as a couple or family.  Whatever your style, it is okay!

It works for me and let me share Some advantages of travelling with a group;

Travelling as a group saves you money! Costs like travel are split among the squad members. When it comes to accommodation, Shared rooms (Double/ Twin or triples) are invariably cheaper than single rooms. Over the duration of your holiday you will find the cummunlative savings are significant!  Moreover some activities are cheaper per person if you are in a group,therefore saving you money.

I remember a trip we took last year to Northern Kenya, My husband and 1 other couple and I. We felt safer being in a group of 4. I imagine if it were just my hubby and I, we most probably would not have done the trip because of security concerns. When you are more,you have more people watching your back.

When people travel esp as a couple, sometimes you can get into a disagreement which might end up ruining your whole trip. But when you are in a group, your conflicts and issues tend to be dissolved or neutralized by the groups dynamics.

When travelling in a group,there is always someone to share with your experience. Sometimes you might find in a given group,  there will be some people that those who enjoys back to back activities and are always on the go while others prefer to have an activity and then chill, in a group you are able to find this mix. Those with similar likes can enjoy similar activities.

However you enjoy it, bottom line is, let us travel when we have the chance because travelling rejuvenates, refreshes,relaxes. It also opens up our perspectives and world to so many possibilities. It should be our lifestyle, our way of life. It was said by Saint Augustine that ” The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page”
